The Covid-19 pandemic had a catastrophic effect on UK charities with the loss of billions in income through cancelled fundraising events such as the London Marathon. In a bid to support charities during this difficult time, The 2.6 Challenge was born calling the nation to take part in a mass participation fundraising event on the 26th April.

Studio Republic was onboarded by the organisers of the London Marathon to develop the vision, strategy, visual identity and messaging, campaign assets (digital and print), and website for this incredible cause that has raised over £11 million of funding for UK charities. This award winning campaign was showcased on the BBC, the Times, the Independant, and other national news organizations.

I collaborated with the Studio Republic team across campaign concept ideation, and led the design of the website and print assets.

Over 24,000 fundraising pages were created as a result of this campaign supporting 3,900 charities, with various celebrities such as Dame Kelly Holmes and Stephen Fry taking part and endorsing the campaign and the Queen writing a letter to commend the team for the campaign's efforts.

Notable charities such as WWF, Marie Curie, and UNICEF all participated in this challenge to raise vital funds for their good causes.

The campaign won numerous awards, including Campaign of the Year by the Sport Industry Awards 2021, Non-For-Profit / Charity and Integrated Marketing Campaign Award by The Drum Awards Digital Industries, Fundraising Campaign by Third Sector Awards, and Leads In Community by Leaders Sports Awards.
